Timeless portraits of cherished loved ones

Portraits, whether in charcoal or painting, are a fantastic way to remember your loved ones. Whether it’s to commemorate a special occasion or to grieve the loss of a loved one, I can help.

Portraits in Oil Paint

My specialty is oil paintings, and I truly believe they are the best way to capture a portrait. The nature of oil paint lends itself to lively, energetic, and lifelike images that you can cherish for generations!

Portraits in Charcoal

Charcoal is a fantastic option for a portrait when time or budget is a restriction, or when a black & white image is desired.

Meet the Artist – Isaac Fowler

“I’ve painted for as long as I can remember. Even at a young age, I was fascinated with capturing more than a picture—the very essence of the scene. My paintings range from stunning portraits of family and loved ones to sweeping landscapes.

I love the excitement of creating a piece of art for someone else. I’m unique as an artist in that I enjoy the dance of combining my style with your unique desires.”

Isaac’s oil and acrylic paintings are the central focus of multiple collections in the Nashville area, in addition to homes across the country.

The Commission Process

Getting a custom commission is exciting, and for many people, it can be a bit daunting. Don’t worry, it’s easy. Please feel free to read below and get an idea of how the process will work and what to expect. If you have any questions not covered below, please feel free to go ahead and submit your inquiry and we can discuss your question. I’m happy to help.

  1. You write a short description of what you’re looking for
  2. I’ll touch base with you to confirm the details and get a reference photo.
  3. Once you’re comfortable that I understand your needs and have agreed on terms, you’ll pay a starting investment and I’ll begin to work on your portrait.
  4. On completion, I’ll send photos of the finished work. If there are any small revisions, they’ll be taken care of at this time.
  5. After receiving the final payment, your portrait will be shipped to you!

See what others had to say

I asked Isaac to create a piece for me that I had in mind. He made it so easy to just sit down and talk about what I was thinking! He literally took my thoughts and made them into a work of art!!

Working with Isaac was such a pleasure! He kept me informed along the way with each process of the oil painting. He also would give me his honest opinion if I wanted to ‘tweak’ something during the process.

When can I expect my portrait?

Commission work is done as quickly as possible, although timing depends heavily on the commission details, shows, and events, and how many commissions are in our queue. As a rough reference point, an 8×10 may take only a week or two from when work starts, but a large piece may require a month or more. A specific timeline will be part of our initial agreement.

Your Investment

Whether you’re looking for multiple, large, statement pieces or a small 8×10 of a cherished memory, I most often work with portrait budgets between $250 – $2,500 per piece, and I can create a custom package for any budget.
